## What you get

## Quick start

1. Unzip the folder.
2. Open `index.html` in a modern browser. For consistent localStorage and navigation behavior, use a local HTTP server instead:
   `python3 -m http.server 8000` then open `http://localhost:8000/`.
3. Customize text, job information, colors and branding using `docs/CUSTOMIZATION.md`.
4. Configure a production backend for genuine applications or company records, if required.
5. Deploy the site as static files with relative links intact.

## Honest limitations

- **All job vacancies, salaries and employer details are fictional examples**, not real open positions.
- The application form **never submits to an employer**; it keeps a local demo draft in the user's browser using localStorage. A selected resume filename can appear in the draft; the resume bytes are never uploaded or stored.
- There is **no real applicant tracking, authentication, multi-user account, job posting backend, email sending, or payment integration**.
- The contact form validates inputs and creates an email draft (`mailto:`) but does not send email automatically.
- The app stores local demo drafts, including name/email, on the device. **Do not enter personal or sensitive data during demo evaluation**.
- The package includes a license draft pending seller approval and a sample privacy/terms page requiring legal review before publishing.

## Important security / launch note

The local draft tracking interface is **not secure for real candidate records** because browser localStorage is not authenticated, server backed or cross-device. Use a server-side application store with appropriate access control, privacy safeguards, file handling, retention and notifications for production use. Don't expose demo records as real applications.
